Subject: A local cause helps Cache Valley learn how to become financially secure
Dear Jay,
The current economic recession has Logan residents looking for ways to become financially stable. Many people in cache valley are living through these hard times, paycheck to paycheck trying to find ways to provide for their families. A newly organized group, Cache Valley Area Investors Association, aims to help the community become financially secure by providing free financial advice.
The cause is to help anyone who is interested in becoming financially independent learn how to do so. Financial independence is achieved when one no longer has to rely solely on their earned income, and can pay off monthly expenses with the passive income they receive. Passive income is money earned from assets and investments, essentially money that is earned while you sleep. Preston Parker, President of CVAIA, said “someone’s true wealth is how long they can live without their earned income.”
Jay, I think that USU students would benefit from attending CVAIA meetings to learn now how to manage their money so that they will not have financial problems later in life.
The movement of financial independence has been around for decades. Founders of this cause such as Ayn Rand hoped to educate people about finances in effort to ease the burden brought on by money. Today this ideology is furthered by experts like Robert Kiyosaki and Suze Orman.
The local organization that supports this cause, CVAIA, holds meetings twice a month to educate anyone who wants to become financially independent. I felt like your pitch was a bit lengthy, but that it had good information. Maybe you can make it more concise? And, though it was lengthy, it was easy to follow and understand.
ReplyDeleteNice work Hillary. You probably need to shorten your paragraphs because the pitch is supposed to fit in one screen shot. You had plenty of information, but just make it more concise so it's shorter and more personal.
